Charl Washington aka "Mr. Ballroom" got serious about dancing in 1991 and was invited to attend the prestigious Detroit School of the Fine and Performing Arts. It is there that he developed a passion for Ballroom Dancing and the rest is history. Mr. Ballroom incorporates traditional foundation in his ballroom lessons but gives each dance his own flair and is well known for his charismatic personality and fun teaching style. Whether you attend one of his weekly ballroom dancing classes or choose to take private dancing lessons you're sure to leave with a smile on your face and some serious dancing mojo. Be sure to ask him about "Soulsa," the new style of ballroom dancing he came up with to fit modern times.

Ballroom Dancing Lessons

Mr. Ballroom offers affordable private ballroom dancing lessons conveniently at your home or a pre-arranged location.  The cost is $35/hour per person or a more cost-effective bulk rate can be arranged.  But if you're curious, take advantage of the $20 45-minute lesson (per person) "introductory special" Mr. Ballroom offers for first time dancers.

He currently teaches group dance lessons in Flint, MI on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM.

Group lessons are available upon request and make sure to ask about special rates for wedding parties, special events, house parties, or anywhere else there's enough floor space to dance on!  Checkout Mr. Ballroom's special party rates here.

Mr. Ballroom is available for dance instruction in Warren, all over Detroit, Flint, and has recently expanded his availability to include Saginaw, MI.
