Charl Washington aka "Mr. Ballroom" got serious about dancing in 1991 and was invited to attend the prestigious Detroit School of the Fine and Performing Arts. It is there that he developed a passion for Ballroom Dancing and the rest is history. Mr. Ballroom incorporates traditional foundation in his ballroom lessons but gives each dance his own flair and is well known for his charismatic personality and fun teaching style. Mr. Ballroom began dancing seriously in 1991 and seriously honed his Ballroom Dancing craft while attending the dance school, Detroit School of the Fine and Performing Arts soon thereafter.  It was there that he developed his passion for Ballroom Dancing but his dance classes there included ballet, tap, modern dance, jazz, and hip hop.  Known for being charismatic and fun, talented, yet humble, Mr. Ballroom incorporates his own unique flair and teaching style into all his dance lessons and dance classes.  His diverse background in dancing makes for more dynamic dance instruction and a better overall finished product - that being you...cutting a serious rug on the dance floor with your significant other.  Best of all, Mr. Ballroom is affordable and flexible and will even video tape your lessons for later viewing on You Tube if you with to work on your skills at home.  Speaking of which, he will come to you to give private dancing lessons and also offers weekly dance classes in Flint, MI.
